Government employees’ allowances doubled

Five kinds of allowances including medical have been doubled for the government service holders. Besides, amount of monthly contribution to welfare fund and premiums of joint insurance have also been increased.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday issued a gazette notification regarding this matter.

According to the notification, the amount of monthly welfare allowance has been increased to TK 2,000 from previous TK 1,000. The allowance for general treatment was TK 20,000. Now, it has been increased to TK 40,000.

The onetime premium for joint insurance was TK 1,00,000; now it has become TK 2,00,000.

The allowance for the treatment of complicated and chronic diseases was TK 1,00,000 now it has been increased to TK 2,00,000.
